OWL Brightspace Self-Guided Student Training

About

This self-study training has been created using Brightspace and is designed for anyone taking a course as a learner. It has been specifically designed to support students at Western and its affiliates, providing them with the tools to start strong and stay resilient in their online courses.

The course covers a range of topics, including tips on how to optimize your learning tools and activities, how to interact and engage online, and where to seek additional support. While we recommend working through the training in order, the modules are also divided into different sections that address specific topics. Along the way, you will test your comprehension with self-check questions.

How to Self-Enrol

  1. Log in to your OWL Brightspace account.
  2. Select "Help" from the navigation toolbar and choose "Getting Started (for Students)".

  3. Enroll in the course (Taking Flight with OWL Brightspace).

  4. Click on the same button to open the course.
